Crews tackles vehicle blaze in Alfreton
Firefighters from Alfreton were called to a vehicle on fire this afternoon (May 30).
The crew attended the vehicle towing a horse trailer in Nottingham Road at around 3.15pm.
They used two jets and breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames.
The horse was freed from the vehicle and a five-year-old girl received treatment for smoke inhalation.
Police were also in attendance.
