Crews battle house fire in Chesterfield

Firefighters put out a blaze at a home in Chesterfield.

The blaze was discovered in the upstairs area of the property on Foljambe Road, about 4.10pm, on Monday, May 25.

A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “The incident involved a mid-terrace property with a fire upstairs.”

Chesterfield and Staveley firefighters were called out to the incident.

Crews armed with breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and the property was made safe within 45 minutes.
