Firefighters battled a factory workshop blaze after an extractor fan unit erupted in flames.
The blaze was discovered before 11am, on Tuesday, at Padley and Venables, on Callywhite Lane, Dronfield, which manufactures industrial tools.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “Staff alerted the fire service that the building was on fire. The blaze involved an extractor fan unit on the ground floor of a two-storey commercial premises.”
Crews from Chesterfield and Dronfield armed with breathing apparatus used a dry fire feeding powder and sand to extinguish the blaze.
A South Yorkshire aerial platform was used. Crews removed burning metal before the incident was made safe by about 12.15pm.
