Residents are invited to pick up free security equipment and will have the chance to quiz their local police officer at a ‘Cracking Crime’ event being held in Renishaw.
North East Derbyshire Community Safety Partnership (NEDCSP) will be running the drop-in event on Tuesday 10 July at the Community Hall, running from 2pm to 4pm.
The team will be giving out free equipment to people who attend, including property marking kits and personal attack alarms.
Residents will have the chance to raise any issues with their local police officer, and can also pick up advice on how to protect their homes and vehicles from crime.
The initiative is part of the partnership’s Safe, Secure and Responsible campaign, which aims to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, while boosting pride in our communities.
Representatives from Derbyshire Police, Rykneld Homes, NHS Derbyshire County and Derbyshire County Council Trading Standards will also be on hand during the day.
