BIG-HEARTED gardeners Melvin and Wendy Taylor raised pots of cash for charity when they opened their stunning garden to the public.

The green-fingered pair raised about £475 for various good causes – including the support of cancer and hospice patients – when they opened their half-acre garden at The Paddock, Manknell Road, Whittington Moor, to members of the public, on Sunday.

Scores of visitors had the chance to admire the garden, which includes a koi-filled pond.

Wendy said: “People were full of praise about the garden. We got so many nice comments.”
