Council urges residents to vote at police elections

RESIDENTS across Bolsover district are being encouraged to complete their voting registration forms and return it promptly to ensure they can have their say this November in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections.

The electoral registration forms have been delivered earlier than usual to ensure the electoral register is as up-to-date as possible ahead of this election

Residents who don’t receive their form can contact the elections team on (01246) 242424 or print one off at

Bolsover District Council leader, Cllr Eion Watts, said: “Registering to vote is quick and simple. All you have to do is update the annual canvass form with details of everyone who lives in the household and is eligible to vote and then return it to us as soon as possible. These are new elections, so if you want your say, you must ensure you complete this form every year.”

Residents are requested to return the form as quickly as possible and where there are no changes to the form they can confirm this via or telephone 0800 1979872.
