Council on lookout for apprentices

Derbyshire County Council is offering five new apprenticeships as it bids to boost job opportunities for youngsters.

The apprenticeships are in business administration with three based in Matlock and two in Chesterfield.

Councillor Brian Ridgway, cabinet member for council services, said: “We’re committed to investing and helping local young people into employment.Apprenticeships are ideal for people who want to develop their skills and knowledge in a real-life working environment.” Applicants have until March 30 to apply and can contact Simon Gleadall on 01629 535850 for further details.
