Council control goes to Labour

LABOUR has taken control of Chesterfield Borough Council from the Liberal Democrats.

Yesterday’s election results are still being counted at Queen’s Park leisure centre but the Lib Dems have lost many seats to Labour and lost their majority.

At 1.50pm Labour had 26 seats and Liberal Democrats 14. Four wards have yet to see their results.
