POLICE have been investigating a suspected arson attack after a derelict farm house went up in flames.
The house, on Red Lane, South Normanton, was discovered ablaze about 7.50pm, on Friday, March 23.
Firefighters from Alfreton, Ripley, Clay Cross and Chesterfield extinguished the fire with hose reel jets and an aerial platform and made it safe within two hours.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “This two storey farm house was well alight and police were requested because a malicious ignition is suspected to have been involved.”
