POLICE are warning teenagers about the dangers of throwing stones from bridges following an incident in Chesterfield.
Five youths were seen on Thursday, April 12, at 4.45pm, throwing stones from Horns Bridge which runs over the A61 in Chesterfield.
Sgt Mark Pearson, who is in charge of Safer Neighbourhood policing in Birchwood, said: “We would like to remind youngsters about the dangers of throwing anything from bridges into traffic below. This could cause a serious accident resulting in injuring innocent motorists.
“Throwing even small stones could cause a windscreen to shatter which could lead to an accident occurring.”
