A BOWLING club has issued a rallying cry for new members to help boost community spirit.
The King George V Bowling Club in Staveley is appealing for ‘new blood’ in a bid to cut vandalism at their playing fields.
Chairman Jim Marriott said: “If we get more people involved in the game then hopefully we’ll be able to help regenerate the King George V Playing Fields and deter vandals who have been causing a lot of problems recently.”
The club is inviting people to a bowling open day at the playing fields between 1pm and 6pm on Sunday, May 20.
