On Monday, January 25 - Burns Night - the private collection will be sold off by Hansons Auctioneers, Etwall.

Emma Carberry, spokesperson for the company said: “Many whiskies were distilled in the 1960s and 70s, some aged up to 50 years and all in miniature bottles. This is a great opportunity to sample a tipple from your year of birth or to commemorate a special occasion; or for the connoisseur, to add to your collection at a fraction of the cost of buying full bottles.

“Of course there are also several examples of full, 70cl bottles in the auction.

“From Macallan and Springbank to blended whisky and Connoisseur Collection and Signatory malts, a wide range will be available to suit all tastes and budgets.”
