Residents are invited to enjoy a fund-raising evening of entertainment in Clay Cross, being held in aid of a local children’s charity.
Cllr Ken Savidge, Chair of North East Derbyshire District Council, along with his Consort, Jo, are to host the Charity Evening in aid of his 2013 / 14 charity appeal for the Children’s Hospital Charity, which is part of Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Duet ‘Vegas’ will take centre stage to provide live music at the event - being held on Friday 23 August at Clay Cross Social Centre on Market Street. A pie and pea supper will also be served on the evening.
Cllr Ken Savidge said: “We chose this charity to benefit from this year’s appeal because it is a cause close to our hearts - a couple of years ago our youngest granddaughter was admitted to the hospital based in Sheffield and treated there.
“We’d like to start this year of fund-raising as we mean to go on, so come along for an evening of great entertainment and company!”
Tickets cost £10 for adults (£7.50 for children) and are now available to buy – please contact Claire Shacklady on (01246) 217003 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The dress code on the evening will be smart casual.
