Celebrations took place at South Wingfield’s Zion Methodist Church to mark its Men’s Weekend.
Geoff Pickup of Derby was chairman for the 59th annual event and was preacher for the special Sunday services.
Musical items were given by the male voice choir and the programme included solos by Russel Worsey and Tom Walden. Keith Taylor, Douglas Croft, Graham Corbet and Edward Salt sang as a quartet, as did Peter Dennis Geoff Cutts, Alan Smith and Eric Smith.
Readings were given by Arthur Wright, Tony Slack, Paul Tozer and John Cole.
Organists were George Yeomans and Eileen Turner who also conducted the choir.
A buffet supper was prepared by the women of the church.
Secretary George Yeomans said: “The Gospel message went out in word and song and it was a great weekend.”
