Award-winning Derbyshire chorus DaleDiva is inviting women and girls to ‘release their inner diva’ by having a go at its one-day singing workshop.
The Divas, who won gold in national competition last year, are hosting their popular Diva for a Day event on Saturday, June 20.
Would-be divas will be invited to learn and sing Glee favourite Keep Holding On and Pharrell Williams’ feel-good hit Happy – and even perform some of the dance moves.
DaleDiva musical director Ally Law, said: “This will be the seventh time we’ve hosted Diva for a Day. It’s a terrific opportunity for women of all ages to find out how much fun singing together in four-part harmony can be. We welcome women and girls of all singing abilities.”
The one-day workshop is open to women and girls, with a minimum age of eight, of all abilities and no singing experience is required.
Participants will be sent learning tracks and sheet music and will receive vocal and dance coaching at the event.
They will then be invited to take part in a performance at the end of the day to show off their new singing skills and also enjoy a show by DaleDiva.
It will take place the Belper School Theatre on Kilbourne Road, from 1pm on Saturday, June 20.
