Chesterfield’s Handelsbanken gets into the swing for hospice
Chesterfield-based Handelsbanken’s Phil Walker and Andy North raised over £4,000 for Ashgate Hospicecare after completing a marathon golf match.
The dynamic duo completed a massive 72 holes of golf in one day to support the hospice, on Ashgate Road, Chesterfield.
Branch manager Phil, pictured presenting a cheque to the hospice’s fundraising director Esther Preston, said he and Andy walked over 20 miles around Chesterfield Golf Club as they took on the challenge to raise cash for the hospice’s £1m Urgent Bed Appeal. The bank pledged to raise more money for the cause with fundraising over two years.
