Chesterfield's Emily wins place in finals of Miss Swimsuit competition

A Chesterfield woman has made it to the finals of this year's Miss Swimsuit UK contest.

Emily Spence, 24, hopes to clinch the title in October.

She has earned her place in the finals after securing hundreds of likes on this Facebook post.

The student nurse said: "I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone for their support.

"I'm really happy that I've made it to the finals - I now need to stick myself in the gym!"

Emily previously told the Derbyshire Times she has never done anything like this before and is 'nervous' and 'excited'.

She said: "The message I would like to promote is that no matter what you have been through in the past you can always make a change and bring positivity to your life.

"Winning for me would be amazing.

"I've always wanted to do something like this, I just lacked the confidence.

"I'm ready to go out there and face the world with everything I've got."

She added: "I have never done anything like this before so it is new for me and something I am nervous but so excited for.”
