Two entrepreneurial sisters will prove the waste disposal industry can be glamorous and fun when they star in a new TV show.

Bin There, Dump That follows a group of entertaining characters – including Denise James and Elaine Mason, owners of Chesterfield-based Total Waste Control Ltd – who love their jobs in the industry.

Denise said: “I enjoyed sharing a job I’ve been doing for 20-odd years – I’ve never tired of the challenges, the people and the customers.

“Never in a million years did we think we’d be running our own company – let alone filming for a TV show.

“We’ve had our business for 14 years now and celebrated this at the top of the Shard in London on February 1.

“We are quite proud of this, but like anyone else from a pit family background, we just get on with it and think, ‘we orate, aren’t we?!’”

Danny Tipping, executive producer for the six-part observational-documentary, said: “With the help of a fantastic cast featuring the unsung heroes of Britain’s waste disposal industry, we’re lifting the lid on this little known and surprising world.”

Denise and Elaine and a group of friends will watch the show on a big screen at the Riverside Club in Chesterfield.

Bin There, Dump That starts on the Watch Channel at 9pm next Tuesday.
