Chesterfield salon owner Mark Leeson up for British Hairdresser of the Year award

Mark Leeson is in the running for the prestigious title of British Hairdresser of the Year.

Mark, who owns a salon in Chesterfield town centre, is a globally-recognised name and has won numerous high-profile titles.

He said: “I’m truly honoured to be nominated for British Hairdresser of the Year at the HJ British Hairdressing Awards 2016. I’ve dedicated my life to hairdressing and to be recognised by my peers as a contender for British Hairdresser of the Year is incredible. I’m so grateful to all the people who have supported me over the years and to my wonderful team – without them none of this would be possible.”

Mark is famed for his extensive and inventive colour work and for producing striking photographic collections which have grabbed the attention of beauty journalists across the globe.

In a bid to clinch the award, Mark will create a jaw-dropping collection which will be judged by the HJ British Hairdressing Awards panel made up of the UK’s leading beauty professionals

In addition to his nomination, Mark’s teams from his salons in Chesterfield and Mansfield have been finalised for an impressive four awards.

Mark added: “I am so immensely proud of my team. They have created stunning collections through their passion, hard work and commitment and they truly deserve their finalist title. We have our fingers firmly crossed for the night itself.” The ceremony will be held in London at the end of November.
