Former Chesterfield schoolboy Harry Maguire scored his first goal for England as Gareth Southgate's side progressed to the semi-finals of the World Cup after a 2-0 win against Sweden.

Maguire, who attended St Mary's Roman Catholic High School, headed England in front from an Ashley Young corner after 30 minutes.

The 25-year-old's younger brother, Laurence Maguire, 21, who plays for Chesterfield, was allowed to travel to Russia by Spireites manager Martin Allen so he could watch his sibling in action this afternoon.
