THE FUTURE for workers at a Chesterfield computer game store is uncertain after GAME Group Plc announced that it is in discussions with suppliers and lenders so it can continue to operate.

GAME Group Plc has hundreds of stores globally including its Chesterfield store, on Vicar Lane, and it is having to review its assets because of financial concerns.

Electronic Arts and Capcom are also choosing to withhold their latest products from GAME while the troubled company’s position remains under review. GAME employs thousands of people and has 610 stores in the UK.
