Chesterfield Royal Hospital rated 'good' by Care Quality Commission
Following inspections, the Care Quality Commission has issued a new report which highlights several areas of good practice, including:
- The leadership team was very cohesive and worked well together

Hide Ad- The trust had a focus on wanting to improve the quality and safety of the care being delivered to patients
- Patients were invited to tell their stories at the beginning of trust board meetings and inspectors saw evidence of this in meeting minute
Trust chief executive Simon Morritt said: "There are thousands of individuals working here to provide high-quality patient care and services.
"Every one of them plays a vital role as part of a 3,700-strong team.

Hide Ad"This rating is their success and we are absolutely delighted for them.
"Through their commitment and support they've taken positive action to make a difference - and have proved our hospital deserves to be 'good'."
Professor Sir Mike Richards, the chief inspector of hospitals, said: "Since our inspection in April 2015, the trust has made significant improvements to ensure there was a positive culture change.
"The trust had a focus on wanting to improve the quality and safety of the care being delivered to patients."

Hide AdHe added: "There were, however, areas where improvements were needed, particularly in relation to the response rate and results of the annual NHS staff survey."
He said the trust has told inspectors it has listened to their findings and he is confident it will work to deliver 'these improvements' on behalf of all patients.
