Sarah's family wanted the Derbyshire Times to use this picture of her as a baby for this tribute piece.

Fourteen-year-old Sarah sadly died suddenly and was found in the bedroom of her home on St Augustine’s Road earlier this month.

Following the tragedy, generous residents have come together to help support her relatives.

On Friday, youngsters at Whitecotes Primary Academy took part in a non-uniform day as part of a fundraiser in Sarah’s memory.

They raised a grand total of £254 and the money will be given to Sarah’s mother so she can buy a headstone for her much-loved daughter.

Meanwhile, an online fundraising page has been set up to help Sarah’s parents.

Katie Duroe, who started the page, said: “Sarah’s death came as a massive shock to all who knew and loved her.

"I have set up the page to help Sarah’s family either with costs towards the funeral or for them to get something in Sarah’s memory.

"I can’t imagine what her family is going through.”

There are also collection boxes in local businesses, including Boythorpe Fryer.
