Alongside the chance to win an incredible rainbow cake, specially crafted by a Post Office colleague, those attending the event - which is free, with an ask to make a small donation at the gate - will also be able to enjoy a range of food stalls and a fairground alongside local performers and some favourite Pride faces.

All the money raised by the Post Office stall will be going to the Derbyshire LGBT+ charity, specifically to the youth group, which helps to support diversity and inclusivity for younger people in the community through social activities.

Following a raffle and a cake sale at the Post Office customer support centre in Future Walk, more than £500 has so far been raised - and colleagues are looking forward to be able to add to that total after Sunday's event.

Alongside the stall, a specially decorated rainbow Post Office van will also be at the event.

Ben Spencer-White, of the Post Office, said: "As a business, we want to make sure we truly represent the breadth of customers and communities we serve - and we know that Pride matters to so many of them.

"Pride also matters to our own people and at the Post Office we want everyone to feel empowered to be entirely themselves at work."

Ryan Whittington wrote, who heads up the Derbyshire LGBT+ charity, added: "Derbyshire LGBT+ are delighted that the Post Office are supporting our organisation and the vital work we do for our community in Derbyshire by raising money during Pride season.

"Over the last few years we have received massive cuts to our funding so support and fundraising by the Post Office is invaluable.

"We cannot thank the Post Office enough - the difference this will make to our community and those accessing our services will be profound."
