Chesterfield: Outbuilding blaze extinguished before it spread to home
Firefighters managed to extinguish a fire in an outbuilding before it spread to a Chesterfield home.
Fire crews from Chesterfield and Stavelely arrived at the scene, on Catherine Street, just before midnight last night (Thursday, July 29).
The outbuilding, which belonged to a nearby domestic property, was found “well alight” by firefighters who used a positive pressure ventilation fan and breathing apparatus to put out the blaze.
Firefighters then carried out a series of checks of neighbouring properties to check there no damage.
