CHESTERFIELD: AgeUK trainee students raise £300 for Macmillan

A Macmillan coffee morning was held at AgeUK Training Centre. The students of the traineeship programme worked hard to make this a success and raised over £300 by selling cakes, drinks, tombola, name the teddy, reiki treatments and nail art and manicures.

The traineeships would like to thank all that got involved and supported this event, especially the Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield, Raymond Bradley (Macmillan Support) who attended this event, along with the staff of AgeUK, their friends, family and the general public.

“This was a fantastic day”, said the traineeship tutor, “I am proud of each and every one of the students. They all worked hard and their efforts have paid off. They have a keen interest in caring for others, that’s why they are seeking care related apprenticeships and are already planning the Age Uk ‘Spread the Warmth’ event.”
