Two well loved local charities are calling all horse riders to bring their horses to take part in a sponsored ride on the beautiful and exclusive Osberton estate near Worksop.
SAFE@LAST, a charity that works across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North East Derbyshire with young people at risk through running away, and Helen’s Trust, who support people with terminal illness to be cared for and to die at home throughout North Derbyshire and Sheffield, are organising the event to raise funds and awareness in order to continue their vital work.
The event takes place on Sunday 10th June and two routes will be available covering either approximately 12 or 6 miles. The routes will take in the beautiful surroundings of the Osberton estate and will include areas not usually open to the public. There will even be some optional jumps for those who want to add a little more to the day.
SAFE@LAST Communications Manager Clare Sherratt said “We’re very excited to be working with Helen’s Trust on this exciting event which is new to both charities. We hope lots of people will come and support these fantastic charities and have a great day out with their horses.”
Lucy Nickson, CEO of Helen’s Trust, added “We’re very grateful to Mr Foljambe for the generous use of his magnificent estate and Estate Manager Mark Cavell for all his help organising the ride. We would like to encourage all those who are lucky enough to own or have access to a horse to support us by gaining sponsorship and coming along to enjoy the day.”
