Charity garden party this weekend

Thornbridge Hall’s 11th Annual Charity Garden Party is taking place this weekend and organisers are hoping thousands of pounds will be raised in aid of local charities.

This year’s party will be held on Sunday, July 7 from 10am to 4pm and aims to raise funds for Helen’s Trust, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Brainstrust and The National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline.

The garden party will have activities for the whole family, including open house & gardens, plant sales, craft fair, a children’s entertainer, owl & falconry displays, a funfair and so much more. Plus, be entertained by live music from DaleDiva – winners of Channel 5’s ‘Don’t stop believing’, Facsimile and many more exciting local talents.

In addition for this event only, the original Thornbridge Hall Brewery will be open to the public with a chance to ‘Meet the Brewers’.

After the huge success of last year’s event having raising substantial funds for charity, the Thornbridge team hopes local residents and visitors to the Peak District will join their garden party and that thousands of pounds will be raised for this year’s chosen charities.

Entry tickets are only available at the gate, adults - £5, concessions (OAP) - £4 and kids under 16 - £1. Parking is free; please use the entrance off the A6020.
