'Chancer' asked police for lift home after they seize car

A 'chancer' who had their car seized by police after being found to have no driving licence or insurance asked officers for a lift home.

Derbyshire Roads Police seized a vehicle in Shirebrook after the driver had no driving licence or insurance.

What followed was a 'bizarre conversation' in which the driver said: “You took my car, now you give me a lift home”.

Derbyshire Roads Police said they gave 'instructions on how to put one foot in front of the other'.
