A VOLUNTEER scheme for tourism and cultural services in Chesterfield has been launched.
People can support the town’s museum, tourist information centre or arts events held in the borough like the Garden of Light, band concerts or the Christmas lights switch on.
The range of activity and experience will become broader as the scheme gets going.
Cllr John Burrows, Chesterfield Borough Council leader, said: “We have a thriving tourism and cultural experience on offer in Chesterfield and residents are very passionate about keeping these facilities alive in the town.
“Volunteering can be extremely fulfilling and provides valuable experience.”
