CCTV: Derbyshire couple attacked by burglar who forced his way into their home

A man and woman were left terrified after a violent burglar forced his way into their home and attacked them in Derbyshire.

Police have released CCTV footage of the man they would like to speak to in connection with the aggravated burglary, on Loscoe Road, Heanor.

The burglar rang the doorbell and then pushed his way into the house, hitting the male occupant repeatedly on his head and face with a hard object.

The man was left with “significant facial injuries” following the attack, according to police.

The offender was wearing a mask and an orange high-visibility jacket. He ran off towards Heanor town centre.

The mask that the man was wearing was described as transparent with pink painted on the lip area. Eyebrows were also painted on.

The burglary took place on Wednesday, December 30 at 4pm, although police have only just released details to the public.
