Wildlife and woodland hotspot Carr Wood has spruced up its pathways after a cash boost from a Ripley housing group.

Carr Wood has been given £370 to make it more enjoyable for the community by a Ripley-based housing association.

“The new benches will allow more people to come down with a picnic, enjoy the surroundings and relax.

“Carr Wood offers a respite for those with busy lives seeking some peace and quiet, and we want people to enjoy it.

“Thanks to Futures Homescape’s funding, we can offer that to anyone who comes here.”
