Car parking in the Dales to face a full review

Derbyshire Dales District Council are urging people to give their views in advance of the first car parking policy review in ten years.

The first opportunity will be at a series of Area Community Forums in February, at Shirley Community Space on Monday 4, Wirksworth Memorial Hall on Monday 11 and Bakewell Agricultural Business Centre on Monday 18.

A formal consultation will follow in March and April.

Some possible changes that will be discussed at public consultation are: introduction of a short stay tariff (up to 30 minutes) on some town centres car parks; reduced tariff for evening parking; new charges for coaches, motor homes and motor cycles; review of residents parking.
