Manny has been overlooked in kennels for several months but the charity says his perfect match is out there somewhere.

Not only does the 18-month-old, Staffy-cross possess all the wondrous and much-loved qualities of a Staffy, he also has adorably scruffy fur.

Animal care manager Gary Taylor said: “Manny is a massively personable fellow, whose excitement upon seeing people is almost palpable. His face-stretching grin being one of the first things that people see when they enter our dog block.

“Regrettably, in spite of this, Manny has yet to find that someone special, that someone who would love a dog who would reciprocate all affection that they could shower upon him. He is never happier than when he is getting cuddles or when is enjoying some play time.

Manny would be best placed in a home with no other pets and/or children no younger than five-years-old.
