Camper van bursts into flames on industrial estate
Fire crews from Chesterfield battled to put out a blaze in a camper van last night amid fears that a gas cylinder on board might explode.
The call out came at 10.39pm to reports that the vehicle was well alight behind houses on Whitting Valley Road, near to the industrial estate.
They found it had an LPG canister that was venting gas so had to work with caution.
The eventually put the flames out and left the scene at 11.36pm.
