Calow Post Office branch could be on the move

The Post Office is proposing to move its Calow branch to a new location, it has been announced.

The idea is to create a modern open-plan branch with extended opening hours, Post Office bosses say.

A six-week public consultation will close on October 12.

The proposed new location for the branch is Shop@theRoyal, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Calow, Chesterfield, just a short distance from the current Calow Post Office at Top Road, Calow, Chesterfield.

The branch would open from 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday.

Suzanne Richardson, regional manager at the Post Office, said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in Calow and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the community.”
