Nominations have been flooding in to be considered in a range of categories for the annual awards ceremony which will take place at Chesterfield FC’s Proact Stadium, on Thursday, November 12, thanks to the Derbyshire Times and co-sponsor Destination Chesterfield.

Derbyshire Times acting editor Nancy Fielder said: “It always proves a night to remember and a night for businesses in the area to come together, network and raise a glass - or two - to their own hard work.”

The awards are one of the highlights of the calendar and a great chance to celebrate entrepreneurial spirit in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.

The event also shines a light on the great work taking place behind the scenes to boost our economy.

Each year, the awards reveal firms of all sizes which are making a real difference and help to place them alongside the area’s best known and long established companies.

Last year, the Business Of The Year 2014 award went to United Cast Bar, Northern Tea Merchants took home the Retailer Of The Year award and car glazing firm Auto Windscreens scooped Employer Of The Year and Team Of The Year.
