A company has started work on new homes in Wingerworth as part of a development that aims to bring in £1m of investments.
Bellway’s Brailsford Park is a development of 159 three and four-bedroom homes on former farmland off Mill Lane. Bellway will also give more than £800,000 towards primary and secondary schools in the area and £127,000 will be spent on new and existing play areas. A piece of public art will also be installed in recognition of an old Roman road which runs through part of the site. Brailsford Park includes the Help to Buy scheme option which enables purchasers to secure a home with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided as an interest-free equity loan for five years.
