Future farmers get advice

Farmers of the future are being urged to sign up for a new programme to help them on their way to business success.

The Peak District Fresh Start Uplands Academy aims to equip the next generation of uplands farmers, land managers and businesses with the skills they need to realise their aspirations.

Based at The Farming Life Centre at Blackwell, near Buxton, the academy will provide a practical approach to getting started in establishing a land-based business.

The course will consist of ten sessions from November through to February 2014.
