TWENTY-FIVE years after owners Joyce and Harry Hall bought Hall’s Mica Hardware, the Chapel-en-le-Frith store is still hitting new heights.
After being nominated in the Hardware Retailer of the Year category at the DIY Industry’s prestigious national awards, Hall’s narrowly missed out on the top prize, but took home a well-deserved Silver Award.
And the award places the Market Street business third among all the hardware/DIY stores in the UK.
“It’s just fantastic to be recognised for all the hard work everyone has put in,” said Joyce.
“We’ve just kept doing what we like to think we’re good at – looking after our customers – as well as just moving with the times, bringing in the new products and updating the store, and suddenly this.
“We’d like to thank all our customers not just from the last 12 months, but who have supported us ever since we took the shop on.”
