How can we create new jobs for Chesterfield and what impact will the budget have on our town? - are just some of the questions set to be answered by the area’s top business bosses.

Town leaders will be coming together for the first ever Round Table Event in partnership with the Derbyshire Times.

The event will take place at United Cast Bar Ltd on Wednesday, March 12 from 1pm until 3pm.

The boardroom meeting around the upcoming budget will include discussions on:

What should we expect from George Osborne in the budget?

What five things could he do to help our region?

What will bring 1,000 jobs to the region within a year?

What effect would it have for the Derbyshire economy if Scotland votes for independence?

How do we encourage more entrepreneurs into the area and support them to grow?

The event will be chaired by Trevor Clay, principal at Chesterfield College.
