A MARKETING agency is due to hold a free social networking session after claiming nearly half of businesses have a Twitter account and 955m people have a Facebook account.

Brighter Directions, of Coney Green Business Centre, at Clay Cross, is hosting the one-hour session from 11.30am, on Thursday, September 13, on how important social media for businesses actually is and how to avoid misconceptions around online marketing.

A Brighter Directions spokesman said: “The session will last for one-hour making it accessible for lots of small local businesses because we know time spent out of the office is precious.”

The event will dispel myths such as how much damage neglecting your account can cause, which social media platform is the right account for you and your business as well as how to avoid being fooled by online cowboys. Brighter Directions helps small to medium-sized businesses with marketing and sales, writing strategies and reaching clients through social media. Contact 01246 252855 or visit for details.
