Burglars target properties in Derbyshire town

Police are hunting burglars who carried out two break-ins in a Derbyshire town in the space of a few days last week.

The first incident took place between 4.30pm on Monday March 14 and 2.30pm on Tuesday March 15 on Gorsey Bank in Wirksworth.

Officers say car keys were stolen from the hall but the resident’s vehicle was not taken.

The second offence was between 9.55am and 5.45pm on Thursday March 17 at a house on Cromford Road - where two laptops and jewellery were among items stolen.
