Education chiefs have defended a school's wristband system following complaints from parents and children.

Brimington Junior School insists its Learner's Code policy is 'proven to have an impact on raising levels of positive learning behaviours' and is supported by the 'vast majority' of parents. However, a number of mums and dads have taken to Facebook to criticise the system, claiming it 'segregates' youngsters and makes them upset.
