Bright start with scattered showers later

The Met Office is forecasting a bright start to the day in Derbyshire and the East Midlands today, Wednesday April 1, with scattered showers becoming more widespread this afternoon.

The showers will become more frequent in the afternoon as cloud thickens from the west but the winds will continue to ease during the day. The maximum temperature will be nine degrees centigrade.

Tonight it will be cloudy at first, with some outbreaks of rain, but will then become dry from the north after midnight with some clear spells developing and a ground frost forming in rural spots. The minimum temperature will be two degrees centigrade.
