BREAKING: Woman dies in Kimberley crash

Police have confirmed a woman has died after suffering a collision with a motorcyclist on the A610 at Kimberley Road.

Nottinghamshire Police said they have received notification that the woman has passed away. They are still waiting to hear news on the motorcyclist.

A spokesperson said: “Unfortunately we have one fatality - a woman who we believe was driving a car. As it stands the roads are still closed.”

The incident occurred just before 3pm today between the Ikea and B&Q Islands near Eastwood and Kimberley and was attended by officers and an East Midlands air ambulance.

Police and paramedics are at the scene and roads are closed in both directions and will remain so for several hours while enquiries are ongoing.
