BREAKING: Chesterfield rail disruption due to broken down train

Trains are currently being disrupted between Chesterfield and Sheffield due to a broken down train in the Dronfield area, East Midlands Trains has informed.

The broken down freight train is causing disruption for numerous rail operators and trains to Liverpool Lime Street and being terminated at Chesterfield and sent back to London.

"Services may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or amended. Disruption is expected to continue until 16.30pm," said East Midlands Trains.
