BRAMPTON: Living History Group entertained by Hasland Theatre Company trio

Brampton Living History Group held a meeting at St Thomas’ Church Parish Centre with a low attendance due to the weather.

The chairman, John Lilley, informed members of a Chesterfield murder walk on April 21 at 7pm , starting at the Rutland Arms pub .

The chairman welcomed three members of Hasland Theatre Company, Audrey Redfern, Val Davie and Rosemary Smith who gave poetry readings and a brief account of the early beginnings of the theatre company, which is now over 60 years old. A vote of thanks was given by Audrey Lilley.

The next meeting is on April 27 when Norma Consterdine will give a talk on the River Derwent, source to mouth. Admission is £1.50.
