BRAMPTON: Food for thought at Messy Church

The latest Messy Church at Storrs Road Methodist Church had the theme ‘Food for Thought’ based on the parable of The Sower. Many activities were planned for all ages. Children made cakepops, laced pictures, identified tree leaves and fruit, ground grain to make flour, made plate pizzas, painted with vegetable stamps, balanced bags of rice on heads and many other activities. This was followed by a short worship session in church where the older children took part and then everyone shared a meal of hotdogs, crispy vegetables and cake. All the children left with a bag of goodies they had made during the afternoon.

Families brought donations of tinned food, for the Sunday harvest festival, which will be sent to the Chesterfield Food Bank.

Everyone is now looking forward to the next Messy Church which will have a Christmas theme entitled ‘Follow the Star’ on Friday, December 6. For further information please contact ‘Mr Messy’ by email,
