The 2nd Chesterfield Boys’ Brigade enjoyed an evening with a Chinese theme to celebrate the year of The Snake. The Anchors made a snake with painted paper plates, used chopsticks to eat sultanas and played a Chinese game. The Junior Section enjoyed making and eating a chicken stir fry and sampling various Chinese teas.
New members (boys and girls) are always welcome to join. The group meet on a Monday evening from 6pm during term time at Storrs Road Methodist Church Centre.
The Brampton TimeOut Group met at Storrs Road Church Centre after the first February meeting had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. The group enjoyed playing scrabble, cribbage, rummy and dominoes and continued with the jigsaw puzzle which has been challenging many of the members.

Storrs Road Methodist Church celebrated its 113th Anniversary with a Beetle Drive evening. Over 40 people enjoyed playing this popular game and the pie and pea supper. The winner of the Beetle drive with a very high score was Maggie Roberts with Pat Sabin claiming the booby prize.
The cafe style worship on the Sunday morning with the theme Jesus - Light of the World was led by Rev David Griffiths and his wife Sylvia with the Worship Group leading the singing and the Cooper family enhancing the service with their puppet theatre. The birthday cake made by a church member was enjoyed with coffee after the service.
